Dear Wisconsin Homeowner, Thank you for considering LeFever Roofing and Exteriors for your exterior needs. We feel it is important to inform you of our standard practices, regular jobsite occurrences and what you can expect from our company as we move forward to provide you with a quality level of service and workmanship. Should you decide that LeFever Roofing and Exteriors is to be your Wisconsin roofing contractor of choice please call 262-968-2800 and let us know or Request An Estimate. We do not collect any down payments until we are properly ready to work on your Waukesha county home, so feel free to sign the contract we have provided for you and mail it in. Once we receive a copy of the signed contract we will contact you and provide you with a general time frame in which we expect to be able to start your project. As we all know exterior work, especially roofing, is very weather sensitive which can often lead to delays in our planned schedule. Generally once we place the order for the roofing or exterior materials needed for your home we will give you a call and let you know to expect the delivery. It is at the point that we require a down payment of 40% of the total contract cost and our crews usually arrive on-site within 10 working days to officially begin your Waukesha county home improvement project.
Our work crews are pretty much self sufficient, certain jobs may require that we have access to an electrical outlet and running water can be helpful too, especially on hot summer days. We kindly ask that all animal waste be removed from your yard and any lawn ornaments or decorations you may have in the expected work area be moved to a safe place prior to our crew arriving. Having thousands of pounds of exterior protection removed from you home is not a quiet process and may cause subtle movement throughout your Wisconsin home so we also ask that if you have any "breakable" wall hangings unstable picture frames that you remove those from your walls until the project is complete.
Once our workers arrive at your Waukesha county home we will do our best to protect any flowers and bushes that may be in the way of falling debris and will take responsibility for any perennials or bushes that might be excessively damaged from our work. Many times branches and stalks might bend or break but; quite often this is a temporary condition that healthy plant life quickly recovers from. If you are having roofing or siding removed from your home please keep in mind that these materials are greatly affected by wind and gravity. There may be a few marks that appear on your siding or a window or screen that might get broken and we fully intend to address these issues before the project is complete and will replace any broken windows or screens should that occur. Now that the project is under way it is our policy to replace any materials removed with new materials before the days end. This is especially important in the case of roof replacement to insure that your Waukesha county home remains water tight while the work is being performed. It is our full intention to fully complete the details listed on our proposal to your satisfaction. If at anytime you have any questions or concerns about the work being performed on your Wisconsin roofing job please feel free to discuss these items with the foreman on site so that those details may be addressed immediately. We are not in the practice of making oral agreements and try to be as detailed with our proposals as possible so that there is no miscommunication. It is not uncommon to find rotted plywood or o.s.b. board beneath the exterior surface even in unexpected places, our workers will replace any rotten lumber they discover and this will be charged as an extra for the time spent and the materials needed to repair these areas. We do our best to keep these costs minimal for you and will inform you if such work is needed as it occurs.
There are a lot of nails used to fasten the exterior materials to your home. Our crews will make their best effort to keep your walkways and driveway free of nails but occasionally one or two may be missed. We would ask you to take a moment to double check your driveway before parking your car and watch your step on your walkways so that no flat tires or punctured shoes occur. At the end of your project there is usually some residual debris left behind once the dumpster is removed. If our crew is not present when the disposal unit is removed from your property, you may be required to do some light sweeping around that area.
LeFever Roofing and Exteriors can only be responsible for workmanship or materials provided by our company. Please keep in mind that if other contractors or persons compromise the work we have recently performed we would expect that contractor or persons to take responsibility for any damage they may cause. We would be happy to work with you in correcting any future damage not related to our workmanship but this work is not covered under any type of warranty. Subsequently if your Waukesha county roof is being replaced or shingled over and your chimney flashing(s) or gutters are not replaced it is not our responsibility if they begin to leak after our work has been completed. In the wintertime if you are concerned about an icicle build up along your eaves the best solution is to lightly use a snow rake just above the gutter areas. Icicles are an occurrence of nature and can sometimes be hindered by better attic insulation or an electrical ice melt system. Once again we would like to thank you for considering LeFever Roofing and Exteriors for the work you would like to have done to your home. We hope that we will be your contractor of choice and look forward to working with you to making the positive enhancements to your home. Exterior changes can be a little disruptive but should be an overall pleasant experience for you and we are proud to help contribute to making your home a nicer place for you to live. |
